Celebration of Life
When a person dies there are endless ways to honor the life and the truth of that person. From a slideshow of images, music, tea & cookies, to the sharing of a crafted story that encompasses the telling of that person's history, and the joys and challenges of that particular life.
Very often I am gifted with an experience that no one else is having: I am meeting the person who died for the first time. While everyone else is grieving, I begin to be introduced to this person through the eyes of their friends and family, their coworkers and neighbors. It's very much like working on a jigsaw puzzle, getting the edges of a person and then the details, until I know them enough to help honor them. It's a remarkable process which I am always deeply honored to be part of.
If you have lost someone and are seeking help in honoring their life, I would be happy to talk to you about the various possibilities. Together we can navigate how to pause in celebration and remembrance of the person who has passed from this world into the mystery of the next, honoring the spirit that was uniquely theirs.
